Still staying under the influence of the stone massifs and their interpretation in plant aquariums I have realized the arrangement of the far orthodox view on the iwagumi style – the rock play the main role in it and their quantity is becoming the leitmotif. Thanks to its depth, in the aquarium an extensive construction has been created – kind of little canyon opening on the both sides with the wings of mighty rocks and three paths leading to its interior. The plants - Echinodorus Tenellus and Eleocharis Acicuralis – having a full freedom of extending inside the massive give weight to the natural character of the place. It is all completed with a shoal of fish and majestic scalars, which shape is intensifying dynamism of the whole arrangement. The tank, after reaching final form, was sent to IAPLC 2009. You may see the gallery of "By the forest gate" here.
Next – cube type – tank, this time set In the kitchen area as a pleasant addition to the morning coffee. The general concept realizes vision of a wild cliff, overgrown with freely creeping plants with a free space over the elevation leaving a freedom of movement to the fishes.
Once again the construction is based on the native phyllite slate which diverse structure and admixtures enables a reconstruction of the hill full of bendings, twists and stone overhangs. Thanks to all that easily – despite the small size of the tank – we get an impression of an intercourse with a natural rock massif and its wild flora. In the same time the inhabitants of the aquarium are secured with comfy surroundings full of natural hideouts.
Thanks to the amazing initiative of colleagues from Naacademy.pl this tank had a chance to take part in the First Polish NANO Contest. Getting the highes notes it was ranked fantastic 1st place. See in the Gallery section "Up the scarp!" and the plot at the polish forum roslinyakwariowe.pl.

This tank has been my first attempt to the Nature Aquarium concept. Non standard dimensions were forced by the size of the area it had to be set in – the corner of the room. The tank itself is in the type of open aquarium with HQI lamp as a source of the light and based on the ADA fertilizer line. Limits of the Cube type of aquarium – especially its height
(55centimeters) has put an idea of realizing the cliff – simulation of a steep mountain slope topped up with a crown of the trees. The skeleton of the cliff consists of selectioned phylite slate weld with the black silicone to hold its sides in the assumpted setting. After relocating slate scaffolding to the tank I have filled the cracks with the pebbles, finally the surface is made of little pebbles covered with the moss. To get the depth effect while watching and taking the pictures of the tank the basis of the aquarium elevates from the 5 centimeters at the front to the 20 centimeters at the back.
Eventually, after my friends from the SRWiA forum tricked me into it I have sent it to the IAPLC contest where it was ranked at 815th position. I strongly encourage to have a look on it in the Gallery section "Scarp" and to see the plot about it at the polish forum roslinyakwariowe.pl.
